The School of Arts & Sciences will begin a B.S. in Allied Health program for students who bring Associate's Degrees and clinical certifications in such health occupations as Respiratory Therapy Technician, Emergency Medical Services, Radiology Technician, and Physical Therapy Technician.
Candidates must have at least a Master's Degree in Public Health or an appropriate related field. A terminal degree (Ph.D or M.D.) is preferred. Responsibilities include the orchestration of the Allied Health Program of Study and accountability for these areas: content through assessment, allocation of resources, program outcomes, and strategic direction. Successful candidates will demonstrate leadership ability, teaching expertise, and communication skills. The Communication Department, where this position resides, offers B.A. degrees in Digital Media and Professional Communication as well as a Bachelor of Information Technology and a B.S. in Communication for non-traditional students.
Candidates must have at least a Master's Degree in Rhetoric, Composition, or Technical Communication. Responsibilities include teaching advanced composition, basic oral communication, and professional writing to both traditional and non-traditional students on the main Bristol campus, on satellite campuses, and online. The position also includes service to the College. Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate by education and/or experience the ability to teach courses in advanced research writing, rhetoric, and writing in various professions such as nursing, business, information technology, and allied health fields. Experience in document design would be a valuable qualification.
